The Workshop
This is the heart of your operation in Speranza. It’s the room where every mission begins and ends. While the layout can shift depending on your unlock order—which definitely messes with your muscle memory—the standard flow from left to right starts with your core utility.
Scrappy
First up is Scrappy, your passive material generator. This bird is a ride-or-die scavenger; keep him fed, and he’ll pull basic parts from the void while you’re out on a run. He’s the key to keeping your resources stacked for the long grind
The Craft Stations
Next to him, you’ve got the Workbench. Think of this as your zero-tier, un-upgradable starter table. It’s the foundation of the workshop where you craft your initial ammo, base shields, and the essential components needed to build out the rest of your specialized stations. From there, you expand into dedicated benches for Firearms, Apparel, and Gadgets to fully gear up.

Understanding Galaxy Types in No Man’s Sky
In No Man’s Sky, not all galaxies are created equal. While the universe is procedurally generated, each of the 256 galaxiesfalls into one of four distinct categories. These categories act as a “weight” on the random generator, significantly changing the types of planets and star systems you are likely to encounter.
🛰️ The Four Galaxy Categories

🔵 Balanced (Normal): These are the most common galaxies (including Euclid). They feature a standard distribution of planet types with no specific bias toward any one biome.

🟢 Lush (Tranquil): These are the most popular destinations for explorers. In “Yellow” star systems, there is a much higher probability of finding “Earth-like” Paradise planets with low sentinel activity and beautiful weather.

🔴 Harsh (Ancestral): Designed for survivalists. These galaxies have a significantly higher frequency of extreme weather, frequent hazard storms, and aggressive sentinels.

⚪ Empty (Ancestral/Dead): These galaxies feel more desolate. You will find a much higher percentage of “Dead” planets, abandoned systems, and exotic “glitch” worlds.
🔄 The Repeating Galactic Cycle
The universe follows a mathematical rhythm. Every 10 galaxies, the sequence of types repeats. This means that if you know a galaxy’s number, you can predict its type even if you haven’t visited it yet.

Why Visit: If you find the game too easy, Calypso is your answer. It is notorious for its relentless extreme weather and aggressive Sentinels. It’s the ultimate test for your Hazard Protection and Exocraft upgrades.
4. Budullangr (#7) — The Exotic Void

Why Visit: For those who love the “weird” side of the game. Budullangr features a much higher count of abandoned systems and “Glitch” planets (like those with floating cubes or hex-bushes). It’s perfect for photographers and collectors of exotic base decorations.
5. Odyalutai (#256) — The “Hidden” Galaxy

Type: 🔵 Balanced

Why Visit: This galaxy is unique because it was “removed” from the standard warp cycle. You cannot reach it by jumping through the center of #255 anymore. To get here, you must be invited by a friend or use a “Star Taxi” service. Owning a base here is a massive badge of honor for veteran explorers.
